The inaugural Climate Futures Summit brought together the latest research with voices from policy, industry, Indigenous people and youth to share ideas and continue to make strides towards change. This one-day hybrid event featured a range of high level speakers including: - Al Gore, former US Vice President, founder and chairman of The Climate Reality Project; a nonprofit devoted to solving the climate crisis. - Henry Puna, the 10th Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum and many more
Hosted by award-winning celebrity comedian Charlie Pickering, all proceeds from this online event went to Brainwave Australia - supporting children with brain injuries and illnesses and their families. ​ ​With surprise guests, live entertainment and prizes to be won, it was a great opportunity for team building and supporting workplace wellbeing.
2022 Victorian Protecting Children Awards for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing held on 7 September. ​ ​The annual Awards celebrate excellence in protecting children, young people and families and recognise the professional, resilient courageous and dedicated. workers, carers, practitioners and community members who work to keep children safe and families strong every day!
The Social Procurement Framework Second Annual Report Launch for JobsBank became a virtual event in December 2020. Attendees were joined by Minister Jaala Pulford and Minister Danny Pearson as they shared the progress of the Social Procurement Framework over the past 12 months and discussed some of the biggest challenges and successes in social procurement and inclusive recruitment across various sectors.
JTPM delivered the 19th Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence, which celebrates individuals and organisations who strengthen multiculturalism in our state across 15 award categories. The Victorian Multicultural Commission hosted the awards on behalf of the Victorian Government. Usually held at Government House, the awards ceremony were broadcasted both online and on TV - it was so exciting to see our event up on the big screen!
We delivered a selection of 'Chef vs Student' episodes in the Hanging Local Virtual series. Recipes included marinated calamari/mushroom by Chef Alex Xinis, owner of Almost Like Yiayias and spiced duck breast/ zucchini with miso couscous by Chef Jack Lee, owner of Bean Smuggler. Hosted by different comedians including Angus Brown and Alex Ward, the events were even more appetising and the laughs kept coming.
To highlight the different programs that libraries have been providing throughout this pandemic, we delivered the Libraries Change Lives: Libraries in COVID-19 Showcase for the Public Libraries Victoria and State Library Victoria. We were excited to have Brian Nankervis as the MC, joined by Minister for Local Government The Hon, Shaun Leane MP, State Library Victoria CEO Kate Torney and Public Libraries Victoria President Chris Buckingham.
JTPM had the privilege to work with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center for the first time in December 2020, to deliver their two day National Particle Therapy Symposium. More than 20 speakers from Australia, Singapore, Vienna and Germany presented to over 230 attendees on an interactive virtual platform, where guests could have discussions with one another across the world and ask the professionals questions on critical topics.
In 2020, Melbourne School of Engineering (MSE) at the University of Melbourne combined both their academic and community awards ceremony into one virtual gala. Over 300 students, academics, staff, friends and family members gathered online to celebrate the year's scholarship and prize recipients, Dean's Honours List, community achievements and MSE Community Excellence Award. There was also a red carpet and virtual photo booth to show off attendees outfits and commemorate the event.
We hosted the Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change and Cities Symposium for the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne. Reimagining the annual symposium for an online platform, the three days focussed on the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in particular goal 11: cities and communities. Over 700 people joined in from around the world including America, Brazil, Fiji, Kenya, Taiwan and Australia.
Australia’s first entrepreneurship conference for women of colour, by women of colour, was presented online by JTPM and hosted by Winitha Bonney. The day started with a gentle yoga class before leading into a jam packed day of keynote, workshops, networking and mentoring sessions for guests to hear and share their experiences. The theme was focused around being Unapologetic, which means being true to yourself and not letting others determine your self-worth, a message that we share at JTPM!
JTPM hosted the virtual launch of the North and West Melbourne City Deal Plan proceeded as a virtual event. Over 400 viewers joined our online platform to hear from our former Victorian Premiers, the Hon Steve Bracks AC and the Hon John Brumby AO, along with President of the Senate and Senator for Victoria, Senator Scott Ryan, and 10 community representatives. As the fastest growing region in Australia, the plan outlines 66 projects that will create over 300,000 new jobs!
JTPM had the privilege of hosting Wyndham Tech's Virtual Gaming Week and Open Day in December 2020. The event was filled with lots of fun, interaction and learning through keynote presentations and workshops hosted by world-renowned gamers, YouTube stars, leaders in eSports and experts in game-based learning and inclusion. At the virtual Open Day Wyndham Tech launched their 2021 program and revealed the amazing new learning spaces and technology,
In November 2020, JTPM delivered the Western Chances' Good Business Forum digitally for the first time. The Good Business Forum is an annual fundraising event which still hit the fundraising target of $55k despite being totally online. Guests had the opportunity to hear stories, view an exhibition of art and performances by our Western Chances Recipients, enjoy a delicious three-course meal from Maha, network with guests and take part in fundraising, raffle prize and lottery draws.
We worked with Social Ventures Australia (SVA) for the first time in 2020 to deliver their Annual Gathering online. SVA is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage. This digital gathering was MC'd by SVA's CEO Suzie Riddell, who was joined by guest speaker Professor Megan Davis, Vice-Chair, United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Tyson Turner-Thomas, Disability Housing Advocate.
JTPM was excited to help deliver another Ourschool Industry Insights Series with KPMG online. Ourschool is a not for profit organisation that connects students with alumni to learn more about prospective careers paths. Students jumped onto the platform to hear from five KPMG speakers with roles ranging from consultants to engineers and were able to ask insightful questions throughout the session.
We transformed the JTPM office into a studio for the Northern Business Achievement Awards Grand Finale! This event was live streamed into an interactive platform where guests could watch the awards presentation as well as network with one another. MC's, NORTH Link's Executive Director and our very own Creative Director, Julia Truong announced the award winners. They also welcomed guest musician Clare Bowdich, who even gave a surprise performance.
In 2020, JT. Production Management teamed with Victoria University to produce a light hearted debating session. Sami Shah's 3-year rivalry with Footscray High School students continued as we live streamed their debates on a range of hot topics, including the school system, toxic waste and the industrial revolution. Despite Sami's best efforts, with votes from the online audience, high school students won with a landslide victory.
Gathering of Kindness and Hush Foundation celebrated World Kindness Day by hosting a series of online webinars focused around kindness in the medical field. The event featured a number of experts from around the world, who spoke about what organisations and individuals can do to create a kinder workplace and provide better patient care.
Adelaide based community organisation, Youth Opportunities, held their annual Youth Opportunities Scholarship Awards Ceremony online with JTPM in 2020. Students enjoyed a fun, interactive awards ceremony celebrating the successful recipients of 2020 whilst also thanking the generous donors who make it all possible.
Victoria University (VU) took their annual Alumni Awards online in 2020 to recognise those who have contributed to making their community a better place, no matter their industry or location. With more nominations received than ever before, VU celebrated alumni and award winners from across the globe, with recipients able to receive their well deserved recognition and share their stories of success with the engaged audience.
