Working with the Melbourne Chinatown Association as creative advisors, JTPM assisted with the production for the massive Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations on 22 January. Russell & Little Bourke Sts came alive with traditional dragon dance and procession, delicious food and market stall holders, a range of main stage performances and a giant rabbit activation!
Big and little kids alike had a great time exploring the Port of Melbourne on the Public Boat Tours held at in November and December 2022.
Nicholson Street came alive with dancing, singing, music and more.... Bringing together some of the west’s best local food, music and entertainment the street party marked the start of the Footscray Arts annual Neighbourhood Contemporary Art Festival.
This event had it all: - a great regional venue with a picturesque view - stunning room decor and table settings - delicious food and beverages - live entertainment from a magician, fire twirler and jazz band - plenty of networking and celebrating award wins
2,000 attendees, 412 students and 130 booths showcasing students' innovative projects. This annual event just keeps getting bigger and better every year!
Climate champions from across the country converged in Canberra for the second national Better Futures Forum - to showcase their achievements and engage Australia’s new government in working towards a healthier, climate resilient, prosperous and better future! ​ ​An exciting mix of interactive plenary sessions, lightning talks, workshops, roundtable dialogues, exhibits and live entertainment the Forum was held at UNSW Canberra and online on 6 and 7 September.
We helped deliver a two-day symposium hosted by Parlour and the Melbourne School of Design. This event brought together international and Australian speakers, researchers, professionals and activists to transform the way we think about equity in the built environment professions.
The Hybrid Bus Launch for CDC Victoria in June 2019 opened with speeches by Nicholas Yap, CEO of CDC Victoria, the Hon. Melissa Horne MP, Minister for Public Transport, and David Mead, Volvo Bus Corporation Vice President of Asia Pacific. ​The launch included an exciting bus reveal, and guests had the opportunity to take a quick tour to experience the comfort and innovation of hybrid technology.
JTPM has worked with the University of Melbourne to deliver their annual Careers Fair since 2018. ​The two-day event consists of three fairs for Business and Consulting, All Degrees and STEM. With over 80 exhibitors from various industries and disciplines, students have the chance to meet their potential employers, advance their networking skills and discover graduate opportunities.
The 2019 Student Voice, Agency, and Partnerships: International Conference featured workshops and discussions facilitated by teachers, policymakers, researchers and academics, as well as primary and high school students. Over three days, young people shared their experiences about the benefits of student voice and agency within schools and strategies with the aim of driving change and improvement in this area.
We proudly worked with The Venny to host their first fundraising luncheon with special guest the Honourable Julia Gillard AC. The Venny is a communal backyard located in Kensington that helps children aged 5-16 to find friendship, adult support and fun. Guests who attended the luncheon helped raise funds to support a new full-time therapeutic support worker.
JTPM managed the Due West Arts Festival, presented by the Footscray Community Arts Centre. ​Melbourne's western suburbs were buzzing with activities with over 60 performances, events, installations, films, and more during the ten days. Works included Footscray by Night, THICKWAVE x Hear Footscray, Bukjeh and Resistance Transmission, featuring different artists and cultures from the community.
Engaged to design an activation and competition that would attract attendees to the University of Melbourne’s (UoM) Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning - JTPM produced the very first Melbourne’s Great Architectural Baking Competition. The competition was hosted at the university’s Open Day with the theme ‘Batter, Bake & Build’ there were 30 cake design entries received from architects, bakers, graphic designers, UoM staff, students and alumni.
JTPM delivered the BE-150 Gala for the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the National Gallery of Victoria - celebrating the rich 150 year history of the faculty. ​ Architects, design professionals, alumni, staff, and friends of the university were treated to an evening of fine dining hosted by MC Tim Ross, with music by anon and Reverend Funk, and a comedian performance from Sue Ingleton and more.
FunFlight hosted eight community events across Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. They offered free joy rides to children who are facing adversity, allowing them to take a break from their everyday troubles and create special memories with their loved ones. JTPM worked with organisation, volunteer pilots and aero clubs to create the events which included other activities like face painting and a sausage sizzle.
JTPM curated the annual Dookie Day for Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences (FVAS) in Shepparton and Goulburn Valley. Each year, a new theme is chosen and the campus is divided into multiple precincts. In 2019 activities focused on the theme Planting seeds today for tomorrow. Each zone or activation area was designed to highlight the critical research and education that is taking place and the impact it has on the future of agricultural sustainability.
The Endeavour Exhibition at the University of Melbourne, Melbourne School of Engineering is opportunity to showcase final year engineering and IT Masters students' projects. Over 1,800 guests including University staff, students, industry guests and members of the public visited the 150 exhibitors on display. The day concluded with an Awards Night to celebrate the students’ hard work, and present prizes for the Best Project, Industry and People’s Choice Awards.
JTPM has worked with Western Chances to deliver its annual Scholarship Award Ceremony for eight years. Held every year in March at Deakin Edge in Federation Square, the night is opened by significant speakers, including the Lord Mayor Sally Capp and Minister for Education James Merlino MP. The ceremony recognises over 90 young people who received certificates for excellence in their various fields. ​
The Northern Business Achievement Awards (NBAA) are run over four quarterly breakfast events with over 200 guests in attendance. Each event celebrates the achievements of local organisations within the Northern region and include a keynote speaker and on some occasions, a unique performance such as comedian Denise Scott, who shared her stories of growing up in the neighbourhood.​
Proud supporter of Western Chances, JTPM has been organising the Good Business Forum since its inception. The annual fundraising event, brings like-minded people together for lunch, networking and speeches from keynote speakers and Western Chances recipients. Over $80,000 is raised annually, which provides life-changing opportunities and scholarships to talented and motivated young people in Melbourne's West to pursue their dreams and goals.​
Over 1,200 participants took part in the 2k, 5km or 10km walk/run for the 2019 WalkWest event. Attendees were able to return to a 'WalkWest Village' which included fun activities including a jumping castle, face painting, Victoria University massage zone and visits from the Western Bulldogs mascot and Star Wars Storm Troopers. The day wrapped up with a fundraising announcement of $97,300.
​The annual PRRES Conference is the signature event for the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society. Each conference includes presentations from Australian and international speakers at the forefront of research and policy-making and brings together a multi-disciplinary group of leading property researchers from the Pacific Rim region and beyond. The conference includes multiple parallel sessions, keynote and panel presentations, an AGM, casual evening events and a conference dinner.
The Indigenous Graduate Gala Dinner took place at Rydges on Swanston with Aunty Di Kerr hosting a traditional smoking ceremony to kick off the event. The night was a plethora of entertainment and festivity, celebrating 50 indigenous graduates from 2016 and 2017. The evening also featured Culture Evolves and Neil Morris, and inspiring speeches by guest Prof Marcia Langton and Alumna Speaker, Dr Misty Jenkins. ​
J​TPM was engaged to provide creative direction and production management for the inaugural 'Learning on the Edge' event, a two-day festival hosted by Victoria University. The program featured over 15 unique events offering opportunities for learning and knowledge-exchange. From a science show, to a comic debate, street festival and conversations in the dark, attendees all experienced something unique and new.
